After extensive research over the course of several years, we chose Doug and company to build our pool. After building our house from the ground up, we felt like there were specific things we were looking for in a builder. Most importantly, we knew that adherence to budget, honesty, and timeliness were going to be critical. I’m happy to say Doug hit the mark on all these points. After extensive rain delays, Doug was still able to keep his schedule and complete our pool before the summer swim season. As issues came up, particularly around specification and product selections, Doug handled these in stride and stood by his contract. This honesty is key in any construction project.

At the end of the day, we ended up with a fantastic product and we paid what we agreed to. You cant ask for much more. We’ve had very little post-construcion issues, but Doug did respond within a day or two on the one item we had to get fixed.

I think Doug’s prices are competitive in the Austin market, trending towards better value then some of the bigger players. His subcontractors used quality materials and the specifications of the pool were competitive to our other bids. Everything built met or exceeded the spec – I never had to question or ask to have something changed.

Also, kudos to Doug’s Pool construction foreman and plumber – Pat is an artist.
